Pāli chanting classes run from 2 August to 23 October 2026. Each class guides you through the pronunciation of the Pāli and the meaning of what is being chanted, so that the words are understood and not only recited.

Maraṇasati is mindfulness of death, the verses chanted at funeral services. The Big Sutta classes run in parts through the term, so Tuesday and Wednesday follow on from one another.
Who it is for
Everyone is welcome to train in Pāli chanting, whether you have chanted for years or have never spoken a word of Pāli. There is no need to register, and no fee to attend. If you are not sure which class to begin with, ask at the office or telephone the temple.
